BUY THE WINE

Michael Schuster: Ripe red fruit and marked gravel to smell; firmly tannic, but not coarsely so, plus a fresh acidity; dense, ripe red fruit, moderate complexity and length across the palate, good mineral and fruit persistence—quite powerful to finish. Should make a very satisfying Cru Bourgeois in eight years or so. Solid wine, plenty of matter, good length. 2017–25. 15/15+
