Michael Schuster: A spicy, blackcurrant fruit on the nose; very nicely balanced, elegant middleweight with a fine-grained, light, dry tannin; vivid, freshly ripe fruit flavor, crisp and sweet and long; a fine, firm, linear claret with remarkable length for a second wine, which suggests a fine, long aging curve. Wonderful freshness, definition, and persistence, doubtless due in large measure to the fact that all the vividly fragrant Cabernet Franc went into this. Lovely! 2017–30. 16/16.5+
