Stephen Brook: Light gold. Lush, open, peachy nose; has a lot of charm. Medium-bodied, direct, fresh, not a complex or profound style, but clean and fruity. Nothing overblown here, nor any great flair, but it’s attractive and forward and has a typical Barsac briskness. Balanced and quite long. Efficient and well made, but doesn’t set the pulses racing. 14.5
Andrew Jefford: Lush, glowing gold. Very pretty, sweetly decadent notes of ripe lemon, vanilla, and balsam. Not hugely subtle, but gratifying and attractive. As the aromatic profile suggested, this is lush, viscerally attractive Sauternes packed with ripe, tasty, vanilla-sweet banana and pineapple. Texturally ample, easy-going, delicious. A comely wine for rapid and uninhibited enjoyment. Don’t even think of keeping it, though. 14.5
