Alex Hunt: Extraordinarily vivid perfume of rose petals, green tea, and Muscat grapes— presumably an unusual blend? Very sweet, and while the acidity prevents it being cloying per se, it lacks any degree of piquancy to offset the potentially quite sickly floral perfume. It’s a little too close to drinking face cream - 14.5
Andrew Jefford: Rich gold in color. Delicate, refined, elegant; lots of fine, light leafy notes—the forest in spring rather than in autumn. Relatively understated at this stage: In contrast to the 5- and 6-putt wines, you realize it needs much longer to acquire full aromatic amplitude. Poised and pristine, promising great things. Lusciously sweet and elegant, with great intensity and length, depth and finesse. The orchard fruits are now decked out with slightly more luscious, fresher summer fruits: rich peach and nectarine, pineapple and yellow plum. Despite its amplitude, a very fresh finish. Graceful and enchanting, though one for the cellar rather than the table just now - 17
Mark Savage: Quite pale and a complete change of gear on the nose here after the 6 puttonyos 1999 wine. Lovely freshness in the fruit and extreme originality. Concentration of both flavor and acidity combine for an original and remarkable result 19
