Alex Hunt: Quite a complex nose, with grilled lemon, marmalade, and fresh leafy Furmint notes all present. The palate is intense without being heavy; the acidity is seamlessly integrated, and yet the whole has a sense of lightness and delicacy that is rare at this level of sweetness - 17.5
Andrew Jefford: Light russet amber in color. Refined and fragrant, with lavender and pine. Nonetheless, there is also a cardboardy note that makes me think it might be worth a look at a second bottle. (The second one is the same. I think this note is perhaps an aging element or a cellar element.) On the palate, the wine is tangy, concentrated, and exuberant, with lots of baked apple fruit and nuts, some bright citrus, a little pineapple tang. Concentrated and mouthwatering: good Tokaji. A more attractive aromatic profile would have brought a higher score - 14
Mark Savage: A slightly musty smell that could have come from old casks gives the wine a rather rustic quality. Pleasant but not distinguished. Perhaps the rot was not as noble as it might have been! 13
