Alex Hunt: Unusually for Tokaji, this flirts with some reductive/sulfide aromas, giving a bit of struck-match brightness to the fruit. Unfortunately, the palate shows an excess of this character, which might have a place in Sauternes but jars here. With the high acid making its own contribution to freshness, the overall impression is too shrill - 14
Andrew Jefford: Full gold in color. Rather varnishy aromas, or perhaps bean flour; not a million miles from the scent of aged Hunter Valley Semillon. On the palate, this is one of the drier, more slender 6 putts, perhaps just slipping into the classification minima; lots of autumn-apple acidity. Refreshing and palate-rousing, though without the allusive force and aesthetic presence for a great score - 12.5
Mark Savage: There is a greater impression of fresh acidity here, which distinguishes it from many of the others, I think. The fruit is luscious and the style very refreshing. It should age and improve very nicely - 17
