John Gilman: The second wine from La Conseillante is also very tasty in 2010, but it shows a bit more overt ripeness on the nose than the grand vin. The bouquet is a ripe and plummy blend of black cherries, plums, chocolate, herb tones, and soil. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, velvety, and quite ripe, with solid depth, very good length, and a fairly modest bit of tannin perking up the finish. This does not have the complexity or refinement of La Conseillante itself, but the house style here is unmistakable, and this will be a very tasty bottle for relatively near-term consumption. 2014–25+. 16
