John Gilman: The 2010 Doisy-Védrines has a very nice glaze of botrytis, but this is another wine that seems to have got almost all of its noble rot in that one big sweep in mid-October and, consequently, is not particularly complex. The nose offers a clean and appealing melange of honey, melon, oranges, chalky soil tones, and vanillin oak. On the palate, the wine is deep, full-bodied, and pretty simple, with a good core of fruit, gentle acids, and very good length and grip on the cleanly botrytized finish. A very good effort. 2013–25+. 15.5
