Stephen Brook: Full gold. Peaches and oranges on the nose; heady botrytis. Sweet and supple, with good acidity and ample lift on the palate. Quite peppery, with some candied orange-peel flavors. It may lack a little persistence, but it’s attractive and balanced, while at the same time being fairly simple and obvious. Medium length. 15.5
Margaret Rand: Concentrated roasted fruit, a real gravestones (sun on granite) botrytis flavor—very pure, intense. Will last for years. Classic stuff. Very rich but balanced; mineral, with great finesse balancing the weight and concentration. 19
Michael Schuster: Mature orange-gold; wet wool, honey, citrus-zest maturity to smell; very nicely balanced, concentrated middleweight, with a lively balancing acidity; intensely sweet, refined flavor; long and complex; both unctuous and fresh at once; a faintly raisiny/marmalade maturity. Great scope here, and fine length, too. Lovely wine. Drink now and for decades to come. 18.5
