Stephen Brook: Straw gold. Subdued nose, some wet wool, and it may be a touch corked, though not flagrantly so. [No second bottle available.] Sweet, juicy, cleaner than the nose, with some vibrant acidity giving zest. Quite citric and not a lot of obvious botrytis, but lively and, for Sauternes, refreshing. Moderate length. Have to assess what’s in the glass, but suspect a second bottle might win an extra point. 15

Margaret Rand: There’s some coarseness here, and a slightly strident peach note. It’s closed, but there’s an earthiness that is not terribly appealing. Slightly coarse finish. 11

Michael Schuster: Mid-gold; dumb and unexpressive to smell; moderately concentrated, with fresh acidity; sweet, straightforward, medium length. Decent, unexciting. Ready. 14
