Andrew Jefford: Full yellow-gold. Another of those wonderfully warm, nourishing, nurse-like noses that this riper end of the Chardonnay spectrum offers. Lots of honey, pollen, warm breezes, warm stones, malty freshness and intrigue, and relaxed charm. On the palate, the wine is full, open, textural, and deep, with some sense of minerality creeping in at the edges and ample ripeness giving a fully developed fruit-flavor profile; the acidity is not too assertive (though it is very present), and the overall sense is of a wine at ease with itself and beginning to relax into time. A lovely Chardonnay; and a lovely drink, too. Outstanding work. 17
Jancis Robinson: Mid-straw. Big and round and sweet on the nose. Bold and a bit old-style. Even a little toasty. Very reverberant. But chewy and a bit brutal and cappuccino flavored. Not refined. Drink 2011–13. 16
