Andrew Jefford: Bright gold in color. Creamy, warm, shapely, and enticing aromas, though without much sublimity of fruit. Butterscotchy after a while. On the palate, quite edgy and intense. There isn’t much evidence of texture, width, vinosity or depth, but at least the fruits themselves are attractive, with some sweet passion-fruit intrigue. A fresh, pretty Chardonnay, light on its feet, but I sense the vineyard could perhaps do a bit more if asked in the right way. 13.5
Jancis Robinson: Pale straw. Light but very well-balanced nose. Very light in terms of impact but delicate and reasonably convincing, though the fruit is struggling to rise above the structure. A bit watery rather than elegant. Yields too high? Drink 2012–14. 15.5
Anthony Rose: Pale straw in color, there’s some angelica spice on the nose and a nice juicy fruit quality to this peachy Chardonnay, with an opulent honeyed element and stylish background oak rounding out the fruit, which is full-flavored in stone-fruit vein, and finishing with an appetizingly zesty, mouthwateringly dry flourish. 16.5
