Andrew Jefford: Deep, clear black-red. Slightly reduced (screwcap) but some warm red fruit beneath, earthy and gently expressive. Vivid, mouth-coating flavors: lots of both red and black fruit, with some supporting tannin. The acidity is prominent and very bright, but those mouth-coating extracts help dampen it down a bit. There are some refined, sinewy, secondary (licorice and earth) flavors beneath the primary fruit, making this a serious, concentrated, dense, multilayered Pinot. Faintly tarry finish. Slightly over-insistent acidity, but in other respects this is an accomplished, complex wine. 16
