Essi Avellan: Deep golden color. Yeasty nose of bread dough, apple jam, and wax. Apple cider and flor yeast-like flavors on the juicy and fruity, medium-bodied palate. Rather straightforward but fresh and easy-drinking Champagne for consumption today and in the next couple of years. 15
Michael Edwards: Slightly deeper, full, mature taste, but not with the same tension, drive, and perfect balance of [Krug 1998]. 15.5
Tom Stevenson: A tad fatter than the other wine (we had no idea of either producer or vintage, just an indication that the two vintages were from the same producer) but still very classic and lean. Another baby! 18
