Nicolas Belfrage: Okay color and rim. Plenty happening on nose: floral and medicinal. Not a loud wine but everything in place; good but not terrifying structure; firm acidity holds the floral fruitiness in place, giving good length and a touch of class. Not a blockbuster, but a really good Barolo for drinking early or laying down - 17
Stephen Brook: Deep brick red. Reticent nose, some tea and tar. Little leaps from the glass. Medium body, a bit soft and flabby, pleasantly fruity rather than vibrant and concentrated. Easygoing, but it doesn’t hold the attention. Decent acidity sustains the finish without giving the wine much drive. Moderate length - 14
Jancis Robinson: Brownish crimson, with some evolution. Mild nose. Not one of the sweetest. A little pinched, in fact. A bit stolid. I’d love a little more lift and eloquence. But it’s a solid enough performance. Drink 2014–19 - 15
