Nicolas Belfrage: Medium depth, attractive pungency/ floral/vegetal character on nose. Quite a classic style, with very firm tannins and good (not quite sufficient, but almost) acidity. Some Porty sweetness on the finish, with a touch of bitterness. Not ready; drink from 2015 for 10 years - 15

Stephen Brook: Deep red; some brick tones. Warm, lush, plummy nose, touch of fruitcake. Mediumbodied, a touch slack, as though picked a bit overripe. It’s certainly lush and appealing, with ripe supple tannins, but it could use more acidity and zest. A forward style, accessible but only modestly structured. But a very enjoyable wine overall. Moderate length, chocolaty finish - 15

Jancis Robinson: Mid-crimson. Very nervy and full of leafmold aromas. Then a little sweet and simple on the palate. Still quite attenuated. Sincere but hard work. Will always be lighter than most, though there is a certain purity. Opened up in the glass. Convincing. But it needs time. Drink 2015–22 - 17
