Tim Atkin: Dense ruby/purple. Big, oaky, warm climate/jammy nose. Drying tannins, some acidity, but the fruit is fading here. Oxidative style. Should have been drunk some time ago. Hint of VA; flat fruit flavors. Dry finish 13

Stephen Brook: Very deep red. Sweet toasty nose, forthright but elegant, chocolaty, and aromatic. Still fresh and sleek, bright and lively; quite concentrated, with fine-grained tannins. Peppery, with a dash of alcohol on the finish, this is still persuasive. It’s long and elegant and has sufficient structure to keep going for some years yet. No sign at all that it’s flagging 18

Alex Hunt: Very aromatic, and a very peculiar rubbery/chemical nose. Great presence on the palate, and excellent balance—just an odd set of flavors! 15
