Alex Hunt: A gorgeous nose: black fruit with enough juicy Chilean identity but no caricature. This has grown-up depth along with a wild, savory edge. The palate reveals the wine’s youth, with marked new oak and acidity not yet integrated. There is enough fresh fruit and plumpness in the mouth to balance, though, so harmony should emerge with time. There is richness and flamboyance, just about contained within the structure - 16.5

Andrew Jefford: Deep black-red. Soft, ripe, and articulate: gentle, buzzy-burry aromas of milk chocolate and ripe black fruits. Sweet but attractive. Deep, dense, full, vivid, and vigorous: vivacious black fruits balanced by sustained acidity, and a little soft tannin support behind. Shapely and engaging wine, with the acidity conveying a sense of concentration and energy. The unfussy, limpid style of the fruit is very Chilean. Impressive wine - 16

Jancis Robinson: Dark crimson. Right out to the rim. The merest hint of overripeness on the nose. But at least no underripeness and green! Gentle, mellow texture and a little but not too much sweetness. Very nicely spreads across the palate. I’d be pleased to encounter this in Bordeaux. Finishes just a little hot and suddenly, but overall it is very well made. Hint of tobacco leaves and dark chocolate. Good oak handling. Drink to 2018 - 16.5
