Alex Hunt: For my taste, this shows excess reduced/sulfide aromas. Classic juicy Chilean fruit is there, but it’s masked to an extent by stink. The palate shows a neat, forceful structure and excellent focus. If only the fruit were allowed its full expression - 14
Andrew Jefford: Deep black-red. There is some sweet cherry and plum here but also something that smells a little like chicory or crushed acorn. Unusual and not unattractive. On the palate, this is a wine without the titanic concentration of some of its peers, giving it drinkability. The fruit qualities are a little pinched and sinewy, though; it lacks refinement and amplitude. In any context other than this one, however, this would still be an impressive southern-hemisphere red, with panache, style, exuberance, and attractive tannic force - 15
Jancis Robinson: Dark crimson. Mild, sweet-berry aroma without an enormous amount of complexity. Restrained—to the point of constipation? Gentle handling of tannins here but not an enormous amount of flavor. Drink to 2014 - 15.5
