Tim Atkin: Pale straw. Oaked nose, slightly subduing the fruit. Sour apples, with a dusting of vanilla spice. A little light, slightly lacking weight and concentration. A wine that would be much better without the oak 13.5
Jesús Barquín: Straw yellow. Both nose and palate are overpowered by very ripe fruit (apple, peach), leaving little room for subtleties. While this exuberant and fleshy style has its partisans, I am certainly not among them, though there is no denying its quality 14.5
Simon Field: Flowery with stone-fruit structure, then a palate that is firm, a little angular, and perhaps lacking the essential core of fruit necessary for longevity. But given that we have decided that longevity is not the sine qua non here, it is, in point of fact, tasting fairly well 15.5
