BUY THE WINE

Tim Atkin: Light, lemony color, some pinprick bubbles. Floral, pear-skin nose, with a hint of licorice. Boiled sweets, a hint of banana, but a decent, fruity quaffer. A teeny bit confected, perhaps, but drinkable enough 14.5

Jesús Barquín: Straw yellow. Notes of banana and subtropical fruit; very young, to the point of still displaying some sparkling carbonic. Promising, but I think this is still too early to assess it properly 13.5

Simon Field: Spritz quite evident, then a lively nose of summer meadows, agrumes, and pear skin. The palate is textured, with nutty notes; quite simple and a little clumsy at the end 14
