BUY THE WINE

Tim Atkin: Mid-straw/gold. Quite developed. Rich, oaky, honeyed, and possibly mature before its time. Nice, pastry notes, spice and honey, tangy finish. Rich wine, but I have a slight question mark over its aging potential. Lots of sweet oak and character 16

Nicolas Belfrage: 1 = color of water and 9 = deep gold: Col 3.5. Smells like a serious Burgundy, complex aromas of woodsmoke, buttered scones. Some viscosity on palate, bready toasty aromas; quite dry but rich finish of considerable length. Has balance and character 17

Alex Hunt: Richly savory, straw-flavored, but with seams of both peach richness and welltuned acidity. There is quite a blunt, mineral finish here, but it’s an interesting glass of wine (more than a bottle) 14.5
