Michael Edwards: Aromatic, attractive, damson plum nose: sprightly palate, light-framed, direct, focused, straightforward, pure- 16
Andrew Jefford: Saturated black-purple. Pencilly, oaky, but not exaggeratedly so, with bright firm fruits. This has an aromatic firmness and thrust to it, an uprightness—in some ways, a more Atlantic than Mediterranean aromatic profile. On the palate, it does seem truer to its place: That diagnostic softness of palate statement and tannic finesse are a contrast to the brisker, more ruffled tannins of the southwest. The fruit core is still a firm one, though, with attractively sweet edges and impressive concentration; a very long finish here. The deliciously natural balance gives the wine fine drinking qualities- 16
Marcel Orford-Williams: Good bright colors. Spicy and quite complex. Full flavor, rich and savory. Still firm and could do with another few months. Long finish. Pretty good - 15.5
