Tim Atkin: Very deep, youthful color. Pepper and spice and vanilla oak on the nose. Marked acidity on the palate. Tannins a little dry. Chewy finish. Not quite enough fruit? But savory, nice texture. A little dried out- 17

Alex Hunt: Dense, blackberry-fruited wine now turning savory with age. Quite a taut, grippy style, this feels like it still has a year or two to go before its peak. There is the potential here for considerable complexity, provided it retains its balance while opening up. Impressive- 16

Anthony Rose: Good color, fine aromatic quality, with spice and pepper. Lovely rich concentrated mulberry and dark-fruits quality- intense, rich, full-flavored fruit; lovely intense fruit with finesse and balance- 18
