Tim Atkin: Rich color. Slightly green, underripe nose. Picked a little too early. Fresh acid, but you get the sense that the fruit isn’t quite ripe. Some reduction, savory, touch of clove, but just a little too thin? Medium weight- 14.5

Alex Hunt: This shows promising peppery aromas, but the palate lacks some vigor and focus. It’s not dilute per se, or even short, just rather diffuse and stalky. Red fruit rather than black, and on the simple side- 13

Anthony Rose: Good youthful color; a tad subdued on the nose, with undertones of pepper and spice. It has an attractively approachable dark-fruit quality, with a solid texture and a good dark-fruit character, finishing just a tad shorter than you’d hope for. Nevertheless, it’s well made in a coolclimate style- 16
