Tim Atkin: Deep color, touch of CO2? Super-dense, super-pruney, with a touch of boot polish. Very oaky, very concentrated, but dried out. A wine that is just trying too hard- 13

Alex Hunt: Strange, heightened jammy-jelly aromas, with a back note of licorice. Plenty of depth on the palate but not a lot of cohesion. It doesn’t feel natural or very expressive- 13

Anthony Rose: Good deep color; lovely rich and spicy aromatic quality: undertones of clove and pepper. Very good concentrated opulent black fruits tinged with pepper and clove spice; this is rich and opulent, with the firmness of tannins and balancing acidity to support it. If it were northern Rhône, it would probably be a Cornas- 17
