Tim Atkin: Bright mid-ruby. Youthful and still vibrant for a three-year-old wine. Violets, cracked pepper, and a hint of clove spice on the nose, with discreet use of oak. Fresh palate, with black cherry, damson and plum fruit and a twist of the pepper grinder. Low key rather than in your face, with subtle spice and refreshing acidity. Good length, with the potential for 3–5 years’ development in bottle- 17
