Stephen Brook: Muted nose, but alluring and decidedly floral. Soft, rounded, juicy; has weight without undue heaviness and a lush texture. But it also lacks some verve and zest, despite its spiciness. Moderate length and an overall lack of excitement. 14.5
Alison Buchanan: Golden straw, this presents orchard fruit initially, suffused latterly by stone fruit, ripe and aromatic. Toasted oak makes a flamboyant appearance, not all to the benefit of the wine, which appears super-dry, at odds with its vanilla cloak. The texture is silky and generous, with a fruit profile of peach and apricot, but the balance is off center at this admittedly early stage 16
Anthony Rose: Pale, almost water white, in color. Subtle pear notes on the nose, with notes of peach and pear, powerfully fruity, on the palate. Very alcoholic, to the extent that, despite the smooth peachy fruit, the overall sensation is one of power and alcohol 15
