BUY THE WINE

Stephen Brook: Heady, waxy, apple-compote nose, with a hint of litchi. But the palate is soft and fairly lifeless. A dull wine, faded 11

Alison Buchanan: Very odd on the nose for a Gewurz. Oddly green and pungent. Faulty, I hope. 1

Anthony Rose: Cloying nose and yet dry fruit on the palate, with underlying rose-petal elements; this is quite strangely dry. Having criticized so many of the Gewurzes for excessive sweetness, I’m in danger of criticizing this for excessive dryness, and yet it really is hard to find any charm here 12
