Nicolas Belfrage: (cc: water-pale = 1; deep gold = 9) cc2. Back to the floral/herbal perfumes. Typical of the best PGs. Here are the greenapple and pear flavors, but there is also a touch of richness and fat (faint touch); typical, again. A nicely made, largely convincing wine that one could drink happily as an apéritif or with seafood/light meats. Dry but flavory finish- 14.5
Marcel Orford-Williams: Best so far among the US wines. Not much smell but clean fruit, with a touch of toffee and bread. Dry, fruity, and long. A touch austere, so not a punter’s wine- 15.5
Joanna Simon: Bright, palish straw. Nutty, creamy, straw flavors. Full, dry palate, showing quite a lot of oak and high alcohol. Good, candiedorange- peel fruit and just enough acidity, but a rather heavy, solid feel- 14
