BUY THE WINE

Simon Field: Youthful, slightly leafy aromas; palate is soft, approachable with floral, summer pudding notes, and has a gentle, spicy backdrop. This is a short-term wine not without charm but slightly lacking in matière and long-term potential - 15

Alex Hunt: Quite a nervy, stringy wine: closed aromas, with redcurrant fruit and a slightly sweaty aspect. Marked acidity and sinew on the palate, without much fruit or spice to balance or appetize - 13.5

John Livingstone-Learmonth: Subdued robe (hue not bright) is a dark red. The nose is not revealing a lot, or very clearly—perhaps strawberry jam. Has a marked pepper air, rather clunky qualities, and lacks lift. The palate is led by Grenache that is seemingly a little tired, though it revives somewhat toward the finish. Dry, grainy aftertaste. Not very clean on the aftertaste; untidy and dry - 10
