Andrew Jefford: Pale, bright gold. There is oak here, which changes the context of expectation, but the oak is refined, elegant, and understated, blending smoothly with the leafiness and squeezed citrus to give plenty of aromatic intrigue. This is concentrated, full-bodied, and oak-amplified (though not notably leesy)—yet the acidity, which is the climatic legacy of the place, gives the wine plenty of trill. I think it works well and adds aesthetic width to the Central Loire, to evident gastronomic benefit 16
Andreas Larsson: More substance and intensity on the nose, a gentle hint of oak, some creamy notes, ripe citrus and yellow-fruit character. Nice texture on the palate; well rounded and creamy, with bright fruit flavors; wellintegrated oak, a high degree of ripeness, yet with a good freshness and lingering aftertaste. The first example with some degree of complexity 16
Stephan Reinhardt: Very bright and clear color; pale. Yeastywoody aromas block the development of fruit flavors. Rather bonbon-like. This is a very reductive wine and hard to describe in a couple of minutes. Citrus flavors shine through after five minutes. On the palate, quite sweet (maybe not analytically, but this is what I taste), lean, and aromatic. A pleasing wine, with a nice acidity, but it lacks depth and tension and makes me wish for a second glass 13.5
