Andrew Jefford: Pale to mid-gold in color. Vaguely fresh, yeasty scents. Huge, rather unripe acidity, laden with phenolics; this tastes as if it was picked shortly after veraison. I cannot see any way in which this variety can possibly belong in this place on the Earth’s surface, though I’m sure the producer is highly skilled and has worked immensely hard on the wine 8.5
Andreas Larsson: The nose is intense, with a fair amount of complexity, some mineral notes, nuts, citrus, and licorice. It shows an excellent grip on the palate, plenty of extract without being bitter; intense and persistent, with fine fruit, citrus notes, and a truly long, mineral finish 17
Stephan Reinhardt: Clear white color, with significantly greenish color. Ultra-ripe fruit flavors, baked golden berries. Biter on the palate, broad and short; rich extract levels that might be impressive in Austria, but this is nothing I can enjoy alone. Lacks everything that could make a Sauvignon sexy 13
