Stephen Brook: Deep red. Sweet, juicy, crushed-berry nose, close to jammy, but the exuberance of aroma overrules that trace of overripeness. Rich and broad, with voluptuous fruit and plenty of spice, but there’s a slight lack of concentration and grip. The fruit is admirable, but there’s little sense of structure here, and the finish is rather blunt 14

Alex Hunt: A rather baked aspect on the nose, which smudges the fruit. Strangely, the palate then presents a fairly lean structure, with marked acidity but still rather tired fruit 11.5

Anthony Rose: Medium ruby. There’s a touch of pepper and loganberry on the nose here; the fruit is attractively fresh and damsony, with juicy supple tannins and an almost Italianate savory acidity that gives it a Primitivo-like freshness and bite. A good Zin for food, with its sweet-and-sour freshness and bite 15.5
