Andrew Jefford: Light gold. Slightly blocky, almost gruff aromas: more earthy and humus-like than the weaving, waving dry-grass scents of so many of its peers. Plenty to intrigue, though. I’d probably decant this, just to see if it makes any difference. After time in the glass, it opens up somewhat, becoming a little creamier, warmer, and softly honeyed. On the palate, this is more Calvinist than some of its rivals, with a line and sinew to it; plenty of thrust and pull, but not quite as much aromatic generosity as some of the others. Nonetheless, this is a beautifully crafted, deft white blend with aromatic complexity and sappy power. 92
Andreas Larsson: The nose starts out discreetly, quite mineral with crushed stone, yellow fruit, ripe citrus, and barely any oak. Very fine intensity on the palate—it starts out discreetly but expands and offers a very bright acidity, good extract, quite medium weight, but it has a very long and potent persistence and finish, good flavor intensity and certainly more mineral/stone than most other examples. Should develop finely. 94
Jancis Robinson: Mid-straw color. Dry, pungent nose. Mouthfilling and pretty confident without too much makeup. Lots of structure here for the long term. A solid effort without its being ethereal. A good mouthful of flowers and herbs that is already ready to enjoy. Long and confident. Drink 2013–16. 89
