Andrew Jefford: Mid- to full yellow. A little bit of reduction here, but once you rummage around in the glass, you find sap and stone and plant roots and the unostentatious allusions that are the hallmark of good or fine white wine. On the palate, this is smooth, vinous, long, and harmonious, with a soft, rich lime-and-peach backdrop. Gentle, unadjusted acidity and elegant structures, too. Very good, succulent, and concentrated white wine that just fails to unhook a top score because of the touch of reduction and because there is nothing quite exquisite in it. 89

Andreas Larsson: Intense and exotic nose, rather perfumed with some spiciness and ripe stone fruit. There’s a hint of oak, slightly roasted but well integrated, lush and broad mouthfeel, generous fruit, high level of ripeness, but the alcohol stays in place, and the finish is fresh and mouthwatering. Well balanced in its rich and opulent style, some complexity already and certainly potential for development. 90

Jancis Robinson: Bright, deep lemon yellow. Intense and wellbalanced nose true to its Northern Rhône varietal composition. Very broad and low-acid in its attack, it has a seamless structure and has some real interest in the corners. Well-judged assemblage. There is a whiff of smoke and lots of herbal spring flowers—broom? Just enough acidity and a little bit of quinine to stop it being sickly. Serious wine. Drink 2014–17. 90
