Andrew Jefford: Mid-gold. Rather speciously attractive: fairground and bubblegum. A wine with rather muddled, mushy fruit and a slightly offputting sweet cast to it. Assuming attentive viticulture and limpid winemaking, perhaps this comes from less propitious vineyard origins? But many factors could be in play. On the plus side, it is balanced and drinkable, and some might enjoy its rather overt style more than I do. 79
Andreas Larsson: Fresh and intense on the nose, quite layered, with lemon zest, grapefruit, and riper stonefruit; no evident oak, just a slight hint of vanilla. Medium weight and youthful acidity, generous fruit, some fresh pineapple a slight hint of lemon zest/phenolic compounds on the finish; more of a blend than any varietal character, quite ripe but still fresh and restrained on the finish. 86
Jancis Robinson: Deep straw. Sweet floral nose, with an overlay of smoke. Just a little pinched on the palate. Quite astringent and not especially graceful at the moment. Medium weight with a note of milky coffee. A bit austere and without great focus or concentration—though at least it is not sickly on the finish. A chunky, rather clunky, wine. Drink 2015–17. 86
