Essi Avellan: Deep golden. Glossy, bright fruity, articulate nose. Layers and layers of gentle soft aromas. Ripe white and red fruit; opulent, but still has subtlety to it. Smooth palate, approaching oily in texture. Linear, focused palate, with a fine mellowness to it. Has the feel of some age, but is maturing gracefully. Long, succulent, fresh, spicy-fruity finish. 18
Simon Field: A vinous, almost Burgundian nose; hedgerow, mocha, and hints of peat. The palate is an impressionistic sketch, its shape either to be defined by patience or time, or forsaken to the memory of a long-since consumed cousin, which was disgorged according to protocol. 15
Tom Stevenson: Lovely, pale, old gold color. Lovely toast aromas, but rather stark fruit at colder temperatures. Softens out nicely with time and temperature in glass. 17 (29 months post disgorgement, tasted 2014; 12%; 10g/l dosage; 25mg/l total SO2)
