Nicolas Belfrage: Relatively light, bright color. Red fruits and berries on the nose; floral notes. Fine, mediumtextured wine. A little green and drying on the finish; could grow into a fine wine but needs time. Drink from 2018. 15.5
Bruno Besa: Deep garnet to tawny. Intense, petrol-like nose, with rosewater, road tar, orange-peel, and hints of cloves and bing cherries. Sweet fruit, with refined tannins; a great mid-palate, with sour cherries and a very long, complex, mineral finish. 18
Andrew Jefford: Deep black-red. A lovely aroma, here; one that seems already to have set off along the developmental path. Sweet leather and a touch of cream lift the aromas of rich autumnal decline (leaf litter and wet, fallen wood). On the palate, it is a slightly more sinewy wine than this very alluring scent led me to hope: elemental, with prominent acid bonded to intense, pure redcurrant and redplum fruits; satisfactory backing tannins. Classically craggy overall. It won’t disappoint. Perhaps I’m being harsh; there is even a faint return to sweetness at the very end of the palate, and this is a wine that responds very well to the air in the glass. 16
