Andrew Jefford: Saturated deep black-red; slightly reductive scents or perhaps the scents of clay-grown fruits: gruff and earthy, but appealing nonetheless, and suggestive of a knife-and-fork style. And indeed this is dense and vigorous, with higher acidity than some of its peers but with better textural wealth, too. Impressive if slightly elemental in style; an interesting contrast to the sweeter Le Crock. May merit a higher score if time brings a little charm and finesse to the aromatic profile. 2018–23. 90

Michael Schuster: Youthful to smell, and a little “raw” in oak; medium-full, brisk in acidity, lightly tannic; light, limited, red-fruit flavor, a touch oak-dry, modest scope and length. Not bad, but lean. 2017–22. 84
