Andrew Jefford: Saturated dark black-red. Rather sweet on the nose, though very ample, and one feels certain that much evolution lies ahead. Black plum, oak, summer straw. Weighty, round, and long on the palate, with very impressive fine-drawn tannins and a magnificent fruit core. Great medium-term pleasure in store, though perhaps the oak could have been a little more restrained. 2017–21. 90
Michael Schuster: Nose marked by raw new wood; full, brisk, tannic; rather gripped by its new-oak tannin, which distracts from what is a fine, quite delicate flavor underneath. Dry and chewy. Will it absorb the wood? Food will absorb it, but this lacks harmony for its good quality fruit. 2020–28+. 86 ?
