Jesús Barquín: Pale yellow. Not particularly complex on eithernose or palate, but without defects anyway. Evenif it is declared as brut nature, it is a little sweetfor my taste—but again, that is merely personalpreference. 83
Andrew Jefford: Onionskin or partridge-eye orange in color, with a swiftly dissipating mousse. The aromasseem rather flat and tired to me: no fresh fruitat all, and not much of the distinctive Catalanaromatic repertoire either. On the palate, itis rather soupy and sweet, I’m afraid, with nofreshness, poise, or charm, though plenty oflength and width. 78
Andreas Larsson: The color is just shifting from straw to gold. The nose appears fairly youthful, with some notesreminiscent of Manzanilla or Fino, fresh almond, nuts, white flower, and ripe lemon. The palateis distinctly dry, with a good bite and restraint, lovely freshness and flavour intensity, quite slimin texture, but with a very long and grippy finish. An elegant and refined version that drinks well butshould have the substance for further aging. 92
