Jesús Barquín: Golden yellow. Everything suggests a very ripeChardonnay—though not overripe. The palate ispleasantly dry and complex, although a tad moreintense than one would expect for a 2013. 88

Andrew Jefford: Very full gold, with a steady mousse.Relatively heavy, torpid aromas: some green, some dry grass, some hazel. On the palate, this isa relatively weighty style, with plenty of biscuitytang to it; almost a lemon-oil note, too. Solid, satisfying, very Catalan; just too thrusting andartless for a high score, but it’s a wine I’d enjoydrinking. 85

Andreas Larsson: Clear and light gold, with a fine mousse. Ayoung and discreet nose, some hints of butter andvanilla together with barely ripe pear and apple.Quite broad on the palate, with marked extract/bitterness, a bit like unripe apple, some hintsof fresh grapes, and a slight oxidative element. The finish feels a bit abrupt; it might develop andgain harmony, but the sensation of oxidation atthis early stage and the quite harsh texture don’treally seduce. 80
