Andrew Jefford: Deep, dark black-red. Another relatively warm, rich nose for Margaux, with glowing plum fruit and brown-sugar warmth. Very enticing. On the palate, this is smooth, soft, open, very well-balanced: perfectly pitched between textural amplitude and aromatic finesse. There is no raw acidity, none of the leafiness you see farther north in the Médoc, and no bitter finish either. It’s not a wine for long keeping, but an undoubted success for the vintage, with beautifully expressed fruit of great purity. 2018–25. 91
Michael Schuster: Ripe, sweet blackcurrant nose with a hint of olive; crisply ripe fruit, quite long and complex to taste, within a firm, chewy, tannic texture and with nice length; good in a more solid Margaux style. Needs time! 2022–35+. 90
