Andrew Jefford: Saturated deep black-red, indeed almost midnight black. Sweet oak and fine furniture polish; moist licorice and black truffle, too. A very classy aroma repertoire, the only drawback being that the fruit has gone missing beneath this great draft of sumptuous handling aromas. Deep, long, and firm on the palate, and here the fruit is amply in evidence, now balancing out all that sumptuousness and richness of handling. This wine has fine potential and probably would be better scrutinized in a few years, when the score may rise as the cellar work drops out of the aromatic profile. 2019–29. 91
