Andrew Jefford: Deep black-red. Earthy, very slightly stinky nose in which the black fruits are missing for now. Later there is some warm fruit but the overall aromatic complexion is rather old-fashioned. Soft, deep, tangy in style; fair generosity, but not a lot of polish. Meaty finish. 2018–21. 86

Michael Schuster: Seductive nose of very sweet fruit; full, firmly tannic; plenty of warm, ripe fruit here, generous, juicy, persistent in fragrance on the finish; fairly chewy in (oak) texture, but plenty of fruit and ripeness, if not a great deal of complexity. Ripe and satisfying, but needing time. 2022–30+. 89
