Tim Atkin: Dense color. Baked, oxidative nose. Masses of oak, but little pleasure. Second bottle has some mint and more complexity. Less cooked than the first bottle. But again, dry, baked tannins. 11

Alex Hunt: Blackberry-pastille nose; not quite cough medicine, but a cooked note for sure. Thick, furry tannins, very mouth-filling, fair acidity, but overall it lacks refreshment. 12.5

Anthony Rose: Dense color. Quite baked and jammy, Porty aromas; similarly Porty, baked, and heftily extracted on the palate, one of those “impressive” Argentinian reds that’s just too baked and jammy, too high on alcohol, and too overextracted to give any pleasure. Just lacks drinkability. 12
