Tim Atkin: Dark ruby/purple. Reduced nose. Big and ripe but a little closed at the moment. Alcoholic palate. Dry tannins. Not quite enough fruit in between. This can’t quite decide if it wants to be modern or old-fashioned. 12

Alex Hunt: Engaging, smoky blackberry aromas, but a rather lean, lightweight palate. More concentration and body required to match the aroma. 10.5

Anthony Rose: Dense, deep ruby-purple. Nose a tad closed, with a slightly meaty character, quite rich, juicy, red-berry-fruits quality, some sweetness of fruit, supple tannins, and fresh acidity. Well made, albeit a tad sturdy and foursquare. 14
