Michael Schuster: Pale red; fresh, ripe red-fruit nose; firm, linear, medium-weight; at present a rather austere flavor, very mineral, but with a marked acidity and firm, if very fine-textured, tannin; very good length, but more of scent than fruit. Grand cru, yes, but in a slightly leaner style. Classy and aromatic and fine, rather than rich and fleshy. Reminds me more of ’96 than ’59! Very fair value, though. Will need time. 2015–25 .
