BUY THE WINE

Jesús Barquín: Very pale. Slightly blurry nose, with a hint of overripeness. The palate is better, fresh and citrusy, but in the end the stewed-fruit feeling returns. Missing a little balance. 82

Andrew Jefford: Pale gold. Slightly reduced, obvious aromas: jellybean fruit. There is an exuberance here, though, which is welcome after the studied neutrality of some of its peers. Lively, fresh, with plenty of ripe acidity and vegetal rather than fruit allusions: courgette and fennel behind the ripe tamarind. A much better palate than nose, and with cleaner, more elegant aromas this wine would have scored more highly. 81

Richard Mayson: Subdued apple-crumble character to the nose, with more zest to the palate, quite austere in style, with pronounced green-apple acidity all the way through to the finish. 78
